- Be punctual
- Demonstrate self confidence in your posture
- Be enthusiastic and positive
- Dress appropriate for the position
- Ensure your grooming is neat and tidy
- Make eye contact with the interviewer
- Introduce yourself offering a strong, confident handshake
- Be attentive and listen carefully
- Research the company and what they do
- Ask questions about the position, expectations
- Talk about what skills and benefits you bring to the position and sell them
- Be ready to give examples of situations where you demonstrated your problem solving ability, interpersonal skills, and responsibility
- Identify and solve employer’s needs
Resume Writing
Your resume is your first impression to a potential employer. Make it easy to read and concise.
- Prepare cover letter specific to position
- Prioritize your experience, skills and education
- Clearly state your career aspirations
- Record only Facts
- Be accurate with all spelling and grammar
- Record your Name, Contact Information, Work Experience and Education (starting with the most recent work experience)
- Record any Special Skills, Training, Volunteer Experience, or Memberships
- Keep it to a maximum of 2 pages in length
- Do not crowd your Resume, leave plenty of open space
- Have a third party critique and proof read your Resume
- Identify accomplishments
